How Do I Create A Healthy Lawn Throughout The Year?
With Landon Friesen, of Urban Yard
There are a couple major factors that play into this, one is fertilizer. Depending on time of year, you will want to have a different mixture of nutrients in your fertilizer to give the grass a boost in the area it needs most.
Secondly, water! A lawn here in Manitoba could use approximately 3/4” - 1” of water per week!
Thirdly, early summer maintenance is key - consider dethatching your lawn and aerating, to help loosen compacted soil and allow air and water to reach the roots.
If this all seems like more than you'd like to manage, consider hiring Urban Yard, then sit back and enjoy your enviable lawn!
