Yes! People are very visual and are drawn to a space of they can see themselves in it. So, home staging is worth the effort! The goal is to make the space as clean and clutter free as possible (less is better), and for it to be neutral enough for ANYONE to imagine themselves living there. Your agent will arrange a photoshoot, and possibly even a video tour of your home – here are a few ways to prepare your space!
Clear off kitchen countertops and tops of dressers – spaces tend to look bigger when there is less clutter. Tidy your entry way and move personal items like shoes and coats into the closet. Remove personal items like family photos to help de-personalize the space. Fluff the pillows on the sofa and straighten the bedspreads.
