What's one piece of advice you'd give to a serious home buyer?

Sort out your finances first - get pre-approval for a mortgage from a bank. Find a real estate agent that you can trust to guide you through the process and explain to you all the steps from the beginning so you are equipped with the right knowledge from the start.

When you know your budget and are aware of the other expenses like closing costs and moving cost you can write out your wishlist - What's your ideal square footage? How many bedrooms? Yard or no yard, etc? Your agent should be helping you to navigate and understand which properties are worth looking at.
