Why Are My Cedars Dying And How To Help Them?

For curbside appeal & privacy, cedars are a great option! To ensure your cedars look their best, be sure to plant in full sun to part shade area. Choose a location that is fairly level, so water doesn't drain away from them. Keep cedars away from areas where salt may be used to control icy conditions. Plant at least 18-20" apart for good air circulation, and ensure the holes are deep enough to cover the roots. Fertilize up to 3 times during the growing season. One of the most important things to do is water properly - to prevent browning, keep the soil moist - in hot or dry weather, water at least once a week for an hour or so.
